ABIDE is the college ministry at Church of Southland Chino.

We exist to help college-aged individuals come to saving faith in Jesus Christ and to empower them to thrive as disciples of Jesus who make a lifelong commitment to loving God, loving others, and building God's Kingdom. Currently we minister to college students who attend schools throughout Orange County and the Inland Empire, including UC Riverside, the 5Cs (Claremont Colleges), Cal Poly Pomona, and UC Irvine.

sundays

sundays at 9AM
and 11AM

Most of our college students attend the 11AM Sunday service. Every week after service, we spend time as a ministry in fellowship by getting lunch together and participating in different activities.

College Luncheons happen every 2nd & 4th Sunday of the month after 2nd service, where students are treated to lunch at church free of cost.

large groups

friday nights at 7:30PM (suite d)

Large Group is our weekly Friday night gathering for college students (in Suite D). Large Groups consist of various types of ministry including worship, prayer room, teaching, fellowship, and other interactive programs. Attending weekly Large Group is the best way for college students to fully get plugged into our ministry.

We believe that participation in cell is a vital part of our students' spiritual growth as they experience a life of faith in spiritual community. If you are interested in joining a cell, please reach out to the respective cell leader from our cell catalog below:

meet our college pastor

pastor amos

Pastor Amos has been serving as the college pastor at Church of Southland Chino since February 2025. He received a B.A in Religion from Pepperdine University and an M.Div. in Evangelism and Discipleship from Talbot School of Theology. Prior to joining staff at Southland Chino, he has served as pastor over youth, college ministry, and young adults in two other churches in Southern California. He is married to his beautiful wife Priscilla and is a father to their two-year-old daughter Eden (with another girl on the way).

From Pastor Amos:
"When I look back on my own faith journey, I recognize how formative my college years were in my own spiritual development as a follower of Christ. For this reason, I consider it a great privilege to walk alongside collegians as they navigate questions of faith, life, and purpose. My hope is that our college ministry would be a spiritual family where college students are empowered to live as Spirit-filled disciples of Jesus who advance God’s Kingdom. My family and I are excited to join God in what he is doing at Church of Southland Chino, especially amongst college students. If you are a college student looking for a church community, there's a place for you here! We would love for you to join us. If you have any questions or would like more information about our church or college ministry, please don't hesitate to reach out to me."
